Do you have the desire to vlog? After looking at one of Casey Neistat's video on youtube I was hooked. I really wanted to vlog and enter into this new journey of vlogging and traveling. It's amazing that you can make your hobby a full-time job and finding a way to also earn from it. Wouldnt that be a dream come true for you if you really want to start.

To make a good vlog or a video you need to have the right equipment with you because you really want to appeal to your viewers and make them come back to you wanting more from you. I have vlogged and made videos for my self and I want to share what I use.

1. Camera

Make sure that you use the right camera to make videos so that your viewers can watch clearly what you are doing. Imagine using a camera which converts to VGA while shooting, VGA for video recording or making a video might make it look awful when you watch it on a computer towards the end. Here some cameras that I recommend.

Nikon D3300

I personally use the Nikon D330 which has a 24 MP Camera. It's the best entry-level DSLR Camera according to me for making videos which allows you to shoot videos in 1080p at 60 FPS. This DSLR comes with a microphone Jack and many Canon entry level DSLR's do not come with the microphone jack. Taking Videos on this camera has been super useful for me as it is lightweight, super easy and very straight forward to use. It also has built-in advanced features tutorial to help you capture the best image. This Camera comes below a $500 mark.

Canon G7X Mark II

CANON Power Shot G9X Mark II with 8 GB Card and CASE

I have seen many vloggers using a compact camera such as this one on youtube which comes with a 20.1-megapixel point & shoot. This Camera is really portable easy to handle and is very straight forward. It allows you to record videos in 1080p at 60Fps. It Also comes with a microphone jack. The screen on this camera flips out but partially. This camera also comes under $500 benchmark. This camera could be an alternate compact and portable for the Nikon D3300.

Canon 80D

For professional and advanced featured cameras, you can go for canon 80 D. This is one of the cameras that Casey Neistat uses in his videos. This camera comes with a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with Dual Pixel AF with a weather-resistant body along with a touch screen panel which opens and flips backward. It allows to record videos up to 1080p at 60Fps. This DSLR also comes with advanced features as wifi and NFC connectivity directly to your phone.

2. Tripod

A tripod balances your camera so that you can place it anywhere on the ground, on the table floor, etc. I personally recommend bendy tripods which will allow fixing the camera anywhere such as on the branch of a tree.

Joby Gorilla Pod

The Joby Gorilla Pod mounts to any camera. This tripod is durable bendy and very sturdy. It's very easy to use. Since it can bend easily it can easily pack in your back without any hassle. I have personally used tripods like these and have proven to be very helpful in most of my vlogging situations. It also comes in 2 different colors to match your need.

3. Microphones

The sound quality of the camera may not be extremely good in all cases. I would recommend using an external microphone for good quality sound for your videos. One such microphone would be

Rode video compact microphone

I personally use this microphone as it comes together with a mount and a protective fluffy windshield that will help reduce excessive noise from your surroundings. I have seen this being used by many youtube vloggers. Being on the budgeted side its the best at its price. It also comes with a shock mount with an adjusting knob to tightly fit the microphone on your camera. This microphone is really light weighted and straight forward to use and can be packed compactly into your travel bag.
